We believe the proposed changes will make an enormous change to the traffic profile of our area.

Parking

There is already a significant impact on street parking pressures in the streets surrounding Westfield St Lukes. Surrounding streets already provide overflow and staff parking for Westfield St Lukes. This proposed plan change would increase this pressure.

 

Extending Exeter Road onto Aroha Ave

At present Aroha Ave is a quiet residential street. Extending Exeter Road into Aroha Ave would turn Aroha Ave, Kenneth Ave, Bournemouth Ave and Gribblehurst Park into access ways to the Westfield St Lukes carpark.

Some of the impact would include:

• Major increase in traffic
• Loss of street parking
• Increase in noise from both vehicles and foot traffic
• Increase in pollution
